Project Wet: The Incredible Journey (#2)

Water molecules (H20) move between ground water, lakes, rivers, glaciers, oceans, clouds, animals, plants, and soil depending on factors such as energy from the sun, electromagnetic energy, and gravity.

This morning, we simulated the movement of a water molecule by travelling to the above stations and recording our travels both by placing a bead on our bracelet and by writing down what physical change was happening to the molecule. In order to determine our travels, we rolled a dice. Students worked individually and discovered that they each had a different journey. Some students spent most time in the ocean (recorded with a light blue bead) while other students held a diverse experience with many different movements.
